Mobile Gaming

Welcome – this is our mobile page.

We decided to create this page because mobile is everywhere nowadays. It’s been on the rise since the early 2000s, and it’s becoming more and more integrated into what we do, say and consume every day.

That includes online gambling.

And as such we receive lots of questions about gambling online from mobile devices like phones, smart phones and tablets.

So we thought it would be a good idea to create a catch all FAQ page we could direct our readers to when they come to us with questions.

FAQs: Your Real Money Mobile Gambling Questions – Answered!

Why mobile gaming?
Why not? It’s more convenient in every way. You’re not strapped to a desktop computer, have to lug around a heavy laptop, and you can play from wherever you can get internet access.

Which you can access from anywhere nowadays.

There’s just no reason not to. There are plenty of games to play and the graphics look great. Things will only get better from here, too.

How do I get started?
The easiest way to get started is to visit the casino from the device you want to play from. They should automatically redirect you to their mobile casino and/or native apps.

Otherwise, just go to the casino and look for a mobile tab, button or QR code. Follow their directions and you should be all set.

What types of games can I play?
It depends on the casino.

That said, you should be able to find most games out there – slots, blackjack, roulette, craps, video poker, 3D games, progressives, live dealer, etc.

It’s just unlikely you’ll find all this in one location – at least for now.

What stakes can I play?
From what I’ve seen the (mobile) stakes are similar to their online counterparts. So you can play for pennies up to hundreds of dollars per hand or turn.

The best way to learn about the games you can play is to read our reviews.

Can I play progressive jackpots?
Yes! And you can still win hundreds, thousands and even millions of dollars.

What mobile casinos accept US players?
There are a couple – Bovada, Carbon, Loco Panda, etc. Most Real Time Gaming casinos will have a small mobile section, although most don’t advertise it.

Bovada and Carbon will have the largest selection of games.

What’s the best mobile casino?
That’s difficult.

For US customers, Bovada and Carbon, thanks to their selection of games, promotions and banking options.

For everyone else, 888 and Bet365 come to mind for the same reasons.

Can I still have a deposit bonus on mobile?
Yes, although some casinos offer different promotions for mobile users.

What casinos have mobile games for BlackBerry?
None that I can think of offhand.

What casinos have mobile games for Windows?
Crazy Vegas.

Any casino that uses BetSoft should, too. A couple examples include Bovada and Drake Casino.

Are there downsides to mobile casinos?
The smaller screens.

Mobile responsive casinos (instead of native apps) can suck because they’re not always developed properly – so the website looks broken.

Then there’s the lack of games. Most casinos still only offer a dozen or so games to play, while there are hundreds in their download or browser casinos.

Is my information secure?
It is. Casinos use technology similar to their download to encrypt your personal / banking details.

What type of mobile connection do I need?
Any internet connection is fine. I recommend Wi-Fi though, since you might consume a lot of data, which will come off your plan and ultimately run you into overages if you don’t have an unlimited data plan.

Is it legal for me to play on my phone?
We can’t say for sure. Your best bet is to determine what the laws are in your area. If online gambling is legal, then you should be fine. If not, then proceed at your own risk.

Can I play for real money?
Absolutely – every casino I’ve been to that has a mobile section has real money games.

Can I play for fake money?
At some casinos, yes.

I’ve not played everywhere, so I can’t say everyone has free games to play. But many of the ones I’ve been to (Bovada comes to mind) do.

How are casino apps different from Google Play or Apple Store apps?
Casino apps let you gamble for play/free money.

The apps from the Google Play / Apple app store are free play only. Often times the software is inferior in comparison to real money casino software, too.

How do I install apps to my phone?
Just follow the instructions – usually you’ll scan the QR code or visit the app store to download the app.

What is the QR code and how do I use it?
The QR code is another way to use a link or download something. Depending on your device, you might have to download a QR barcode scanner. When you do you’ll open it, and then scan the QR code. Once it reads the code it’ll automatically get the download process going for you.
